“Rufada Ramadan” Campaign

  • “#Rufada_Ramadan” Campaign:

“… My husband died in a bombing incident and our house was destroyed. I have four children to take care about. The month of Ramadan came and only Allah knows our situation. All thanks to the good people for this campaign, they provide us daily meals and food baskets. May Allah rewards them and comforts us in all our suffering.”

This was the words of Um Ahmed, one of those affected by the Syrian crisis, who is still patient despite her suffering and misfortunes.

The month of Ramadan is the month of fasting that God imposed on his servants. This holy month is distinguished and blessed among all the other months. Almighty God placed in this time of the year many goodness and blessing that no one can describe or imagine.

Yet… Nowadays, this holy month is passing by our brothers in Syria in a very difficult circumstances dominated by pain and suffering from the rigors of living, the ravages of war and injustice.

Muhammad, the prophet, all prayers and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

“The example of the faithful in their mutual empathy, mercy, and sympathy, is like the [single] body, when one organ complains [from injury], the rest of the organs empathize through sleeplessness and fever.”

Supporting our Syrian brothers in their distress, the International Pitying Hearts Society / IPHS lunched “#Rufada_Ramadan” campaign in a try to ease the suffering of the Syrians in this holy month. This campaign is to make Iftar – Breakfast – and distribute it cooked to the families in their homes, as well as, to distribute the food baskets; each basket contains the following: ((rice – sugar – tea – red lentil – black lentil – margarine – olives oil – vegetable oil – tuna – cheese – noodles – Bulgur – black olive – thyme – chickpeas – macaroni)).

Engineer Abu Omar, the director of Syria’s branch of the International Pitying Hearts Society / IPHS, said that what we are doing in this campaign is part of our duty towards our brothers who are experiencing a deteriorating situation and rarity in the necessary living sustenance and supplies not to mention the instability and the status of permanent terror of explosive barrels day and night.

Philanthropists have competed in this campaign to extend a helping hand to our Syrian brothers for whom we ask Allah to relieve and take out of the ordeal they are experiencing.
