The Turkish city of Urfa is located in the southeast of the Turkish Republic. It is considered the border gate of the northern region east of the Syrian Arab Republic, which includes the provinces of Ar Raqqah, Al Hasakah, and Deir ez-Zur across the Tell Abiad border crossing.
The situations experienced by Syrians there cause a large wave of displacement to various border areas including the city of Urfa, where the number of the Syrian refugees surpassed 80000 refugees.
The International Pitying Hearts Society / IPHS opened on 01/09/2013 Urfa Specialized Polyclinic Center as a result of the following reasons:
– The presence of a large number of the Syrian refugees in this region which is considered one of the main ports for the displacement of large numbers of the Syrian refugees.
– Overcoming the language obstacle between the Syrian refugees and the Turkish doctors in the hospitals and the difficulty of understanding and dealing, the Syrians face.
– The deterioration of the personal finances of the refugees because of the suffering of the war and permanent siege and thus their inability to afford treatment in the Turkish hospitals.
Urfa Specialized Polyclinic Center includes the following specialized clinics:
– ENT clinic
– Internal medicine clinic
– Urology clinic
– Physical therapy clinic
– Dressing clinic
– Pediatric clinic
– Gynecological clinic
– Dermatology clinic
– Ophthalmic clinic
– Dental clinic for males
– Dental clinic for females
– Pharmacy
– Laboratory
At the end, it is worth mentioning that this Polyclinic Center is just like any other project of the International Pitying Hearts Society / IPHS delivers its curative treatment, medications, and laboratory services for free.
