
The region witnessed a harsh winter, so we, in the International Pitying Hearts Society / IPHS, had to be with our brothers in Syria and in the countries of asylum through distributing heating materials, winter clothing, food, and health baskets in a massive campaign covered every poor house within Syria and the Turkish cities where most of the vulnerable Syrians live.
The distribution statistics came as the following:
- Within Syria 69.200 tons of coal for heating, 6550 pieces of winter clothing from wool – to bear the chilling cold after the storms that blew the area, heating equipment for 295 stoves with their installation supplies, 1075 mattresses, 1075 pillows, 40 large tents, 790 cans of grape molasses – as a sugar nutritious material in the cold, and finally 1200 health baskets were delivered to the vulnerable people in Syria.
- In Turkey, there was also a big part of this huge campaign where 30 tons of heating coal and 1500 pieces of winter clothing were distributed to the Syrian refugees in the city of Urfa. About 90 tons of heating coal and more than 2,000 pieces of winter clothing were distributed in the city of Kilis. The campaign also covered the city of Ottoman with 26 tons of coal for heating and 960 pieces of winter clothing were distributed to the beneficiaries of the Syrian brothers and covered a large portion of their needs.
