Albayan Surgical Hospital – Aleppo
This surgical hospital was established by the International Pitying Hearts Society / IPHS, at the beginning, in the northern countryside of Idlib, and it provided services to more than / 45000 / patients and performed about / 4000 / surgeries.
In 18/12/2013, and because of the field conditions and the tragic situation in the city of Aleppo, the International Pitying Hearts Society / IPHS decided to move it to the city of Aleppo, to a densely populated area.
Albayan Surgical Hospital is a four-storey building containing a reception hall, emergency section, X ray section, laboratory, 3 operating theaters “general and orthopedic surgery”, patients’ pavilion for women (6) rooms, patients’ pavilion for men (7) rooms, a pavilion for the medical staff, pharmaceutical warehouse, and a pharmacy.
Moreover, there are outpatient clinics that consists of: General surgery clinic, orthopedic surgery clinic, vascular surgery clinic, ENT surgery clinic, urinary surgery clinic, and internal medicine clinic.
This hospital is currently one of the most important hospitals in Aleppo; since it has many specializations, it gained a good reputation among the medical domain in the city of Aleppo and its countryside. Some of these specializations are: (general surgery – orthopedic surgery – vascular surgery- urinary surgery- ENT surgery).
The monthly number of the beneficiaries, on average, is about 3000 consultations and 150 operations.
