As a result of the deteriorating health situation in the city of Aleppo and the urgent need for specialized clinics to serve the Syrians and ease their suffering, the International Pitying Hearts Society / IPHS has established and started functioning this center in January – 2014.
The clinics consist of:
– Dental clinic / 2 / clinics
– Leishmaniasis clinic
– Diabetes clinic
– Internal medicine clinic
– Physical therapy clinic
These clinics provide free services round the clock, and they are supported by an outpatient clinic for bandages and emergency cases besides a pharmacy that provides its free medicine.
* The project’s objective is to provide free medical services to a large segment of the population.
Dr. Martyr Abu Osama Specialized Clinics includes a number of important medical specialties to cover the medical needs there in the city of Aleppo. The clinics provide many services including: physical therapy for patients with war injuries (neurological, bone, and muscle injuries), as well as, turbulence kinetic treatment for children of cerebral palsy in addition to balance and locomotor consistency and other muscular exercises for other cases.
Also, there is a dental section in which pulp therapy for emergency acute cases (acute pulpitis – dental abscessus) is provider in order to relieve acute pain to complete the appropriate treatment for each case in later sessions. Moreover, deciduous teeth, and decomposed permanent teeth extraction in addition to the teeth that need simple surgery, gingival treatment for acute cases, re-attach the fixed dental prosthetist, and digital dental x-ray when necessary all are also provided for free.
Likewise, there is an internal and pediatrics clinic which provides necessary medical examinations that relieve the patients and follows up with the patients of diabetes and leishmaniasis.
Additionally, modification is prescribed for free.
Dr. Martyr Abu Osama Specialized Clinics gained a good reputation within the medical domain and popularity in the city of Aleppo as the only center within the area which provides a free dental service.
The clinics serve monthly, on average, about 3000 different cases.
